Scarab Shabazz is a magical wordsmith and storyteller, through rhythm and poetry he tells the tale of a peculiar mind, fueled by the immortal power of love. Raised in the rich, historic culture of New Orleans, Louisiana, he ultimately found his way through Hip-Hop and its powerful message centered around community and knowledge of self. It is said that the acronym "Hip-Hop" stands for "Higher Intelligence Perspectives - Healing Our People" which Scarab embodies in his music. Simply considering himself a "Messenger," his songs are more like hymns for the hood to heal to, soundtracks for the soul's journey to enlightenment & scores for the revolution.
